Will my headphones work for screening tests?

Although you may be able to use headphones you already own for some of the screening tests, we prefer you to purchase the Koss UR-10 headphones from Amazon, as they have a flat response and better sound for our purposes. If you do decide to use other headphones, you will need to ensure that you can hear the tracks above (black buttons) separately in each ear.

It should be noted that nicer, more expensive headphones are not likely to work well for our screening. In addition, headphones designed for children typically have a built in volume limiter that can significantly affect our testing, such that it will not be accurate.

If you are considering a full evaluation, you must use the Koss UR-10 headphones. These are the gray headphones included in the LGHA Trial package, but you can also purchase them separately online.
