Forebrain Demonstration: Dr. Rae Sings
Just tried out Forebrain and wanted to share a quick review. I even put myself out there with my not-perfect singing voice to show how it helped me regulate pitch and hear my own speech more clearly.
Forebrain is a bone conduction device designed for auditory training and articulation. It’s not an FM system (I was mistaken about that at first), and their parent microphone isn’t working right now, but even so it’s already proving useful.
I also did my own bit of playing with sign language during the song, because that’s how I enjoy singing the most. And honestly, I don’t really care if anybody has an issue with ASL in music. If that bothers you too much, just don’t watch. ASL is my language, and I am enough.
Sometimes the best way to show what works is to be vulnerable and demonstrate it yourself.
